Last year, we looked for ways to be grateful as we navigated through the pandemic. We were grateful for being able to get our students back in the building, for teachers who worked tirelessly to meet all learners, and for supporters like you who continued to be generous in helping us live our mission. This year, we focus on hope; hope for our students, hope for our growing school community, and hope that we will soon be able to return to pre-pandemic school life.
We are experiencing hope in so many ways on our campus this year. The most noticeable change is our growing enrollment with 30+ students joining our community! Adding a second Kindergarten class this year gives us hope that this trend will continue for years to come. Our school community also welcomed several new and seasoned teachers this year, bringing hope through innovative ideas as well as time tested practices for success.
As Desmond Tutu said, “Hope is being able to see the light despite all the darkness.” Our students are examples of hope in the darkness of our world today--from sharing kindness in the classroom to dreaming up creative solutions to a science challenge to leading school Mass. Every day we witness the impact that a St. Rose education has on our students and their families.
In the midst of another challenging year, our students continue to persevere in their learning, community outreach, and moral and faith development. There is no doubt that your assistance with educating our students is essential—over 61% of our school families receive some type of assistance to help offset the cost of a Catholic education. The annual School Appeal is integral in helping to fund our yearly scholarships for our students. With your help, we are hoping to reach our goal of $40,000 to continue providing a rigorous, Christ-centered education for our students throughout this area.
Even in these uncertain times, we kindly ask that you consider a donation to our 2021 School Appeal. Please return the enclosed envelope with your donation or make a contribution on our school website. Thank you for your faithful generosity! Please continue to keep our staff, students and community in your thoughts and prayers.
